Day 6 of Mawlana Shaykh Hisham’s April 2015 UK tour. Chico opened the event with rousing recitations, followed by nasheeds from Ali Elsayed and Anwar Baradei. Then Shaykh Hisham gave a speech on the amazing greatness of our Prophet Sayyidina Muhammad (s).

Shaykh Ahmad Saad al-Azhari – al-Husna Level 1 Islamic Studies Course

CSCA is privileged to announce that we will be hosting Shaykh Ahmed Saad Al-Azhari, one of Al Azhar University’s finest scholars at the CSCA Centre for Level 1 Al-Husna Islamic Studies Diploma. Shaykh Saad was taught directly by the former grand mufti of Cairo, Dr Ali Gomaa. Shaykh Saad will teach 7 sessions spread across the year to facilitate those with busy schedules to attain the essentials of Islamic knowledge. This is course will benefit the students greatly due to it being taught in the traditional Islamic manner. 
The Al-Husna Level 1 Islamic Studies Course (Basic) will consist of the following modules:  
1 ‘Aqidah (Islamic Creed or Belief)
2 Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) 
3 Tasawwuf (Islamic Spirituality or Sufism) 
4 Qur’an Tajwid (Rules of Recitation)
5 Tafsir (Qur’an Exegesis)
6 Hadith (Traditions of Prophet Muhammad)
7 Da’wah (Presenting Islam)

Bio of our teacher for the Level 1 Al Husna Islamic Studies Diploma

Shaykh Ahmed Saad Al Azhari studied traditional Islamic sciences at the hands of senior scholars and specialists in Egypt, the most notable of whom is his late father Shaykh Muhammad Saad and the Grand Mufti of Egypt Sheikh Ali Gom’ah.

He memorised Riyad As-Salihin of Imam An-Nawawi at the age of 15 and Al-alfiyyah of Ibn Malik at the age of 13 and committed to memory thousands of lines of poetry and prose. He has memorised texts on logic, tajwid, aqidah, morphology, rhetoric and many other sciences.

Shaykh Saad holds one of the highest chains (in Qur’an) nowadays for his peers, there is 29 people between the Prophet (s) and him. Amongst the Shuyukh of Sheikh Saad in Qira’at are: Shaykh Dr. Ayman Suwaid of Damascus,Shaykh, Shaykh Ali An-Nahhas, Shaykh Shibl Matar, Shaykh Abdel-Basit Hashim, Shaykh Abdel-Fattah Madkour (the last living student of Shaykh Ali Ad-Dabba’ and the colleague of Shaykh Al-Husari) all of Egypt.

Shaykh Saad has also got Ijazahs in the books of hadith, the musalsalat, Shafi’ie Fiqh and all books of Tafsir, Tasawwuf, Shama’il and biographies from various Shyukh. Among his Shuyukh are: the Grand Mufti of Egypt Imam Shaykh Ali Gom’ah, Shaykh Ahmed Ali As-Surti (India), Shaykh Yahya Al-Mulla (Al-Ahsa), Shaykh Muhammad Abdel-Ba’ith Al-Kittani (Alexandria), Habib ‘Umar bin Hafiz (Yemen), Shaykh Muhammad Sadiq Al-Alawi, Shaykh Yahya Al-Ghawthani (Madinah), Habib Muhammad Sa’ied Al-Beidh, Shaykh Muhammad Qasim Al-Washali, Shaykh Subhi As-Samurra’ie (Iraq), Shaykh Abdur-Rahman Al-Kittani (Morocco) Shaykh Ahmed Sharif Al-Manbiji (Syria), Dr. Abdel-Fattah Al-Bizm (Mufti of Damascus) and many others.

 

Course Description & Objectives

 The Al-Husna Course is a multi-disciplinary and non-examinable certificate program dedicated to the sound and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Islamic sciences. It is an interactive course designed not only to increase the students’ knowledge, but to improve their relationship with Allah and His Messenger Prophet Muhammad (s) and their association with the creations of God. 

The Al-Husna Course also aims to motivate the students to actualise the knowledge they have learnt in their daily life and practice, and conduct themselves in their best, as ambassadors of Islam and the Prophet (s). The program shall empower the students to contextualise their knowledge and apply it appropriately.

The dates for the Level 1 Islamic Studies Diploma course are:

  • 2014- December 20th and 21st
  • 2015- January 3rd and 4th 
  • February 7th and 8th
  • March 7th and 8th
  • April 4th and 5th
  • May 9th and 10th
  • June 13th and 14th

*The course will be held on the weekend but times are yet be confirmed.
